If you set up “Custom Design” workflow where the customer expects a proof you can an edit the order, assign a custom design and change the status to “Waiting for Customer Approval”. Doing so will email the customer a order is wanting for their approval and provide them a link to their account. They can view proof and approve or decline the order. Approving it would move the status to Approved status and declining it would move it to decline status with notes so changes can be made.
