Fonts

Fonts can be uploaded to the PrintNow system to give your customers options for changing text in the Online Editor. Font’s must be TrueType Fonts.

Fonts can be uploaded in sets. Each set can contain one of each of the following: Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic. Not every set has to include one of each of these options. Some fonts may not have a bold italic version for example. In this case, your set would only include the fonts available to you – Regular, Bold, and Italic.

Be careful to make sure your fonts are properly named and converted before uploading to the PrintNow system.

Add New Font

  1. To create a new font, click “Add New Font“ button on the top left of your screen. This will open the upload function, so that you can upload your fonts to the system.
  2. First, give your font a “Display Name.” This does not necessarily have to match the family name, but it may if you wish it to. This is the name that users will see when they look at the fonts available in the flex editor.
  3. Next, choose a “Regular” TrueType font that you have converted to add to your set if you have one available.
  4. Choose a “Bold” TrueType font that you have converted to add to your set if you have one available.
  5. Choose an “Italic” TrueType font that you have converted to add to your set if you have one available.
  6. Choose a “Bold Italic” TrueType font that you have converted to add to your set if you have one available.

Make sure not to upload a “Regular” font to the “Bold” upload box or any other incorrect combination. The PrintNow system will be able to tell that the font does not belong in that box, and the font will not be uploaded.

When you have chosen the fonts you wish to upload, choose upload to upload your font set into the system. Choose cancel to exit without uploading any fonts.

Once you have uploaded your fonts, you will be able to see them in the list at the product level or in your Storefront settings for default options.

Deleting a font

  1. To delete a font click the delete button on the right of the uploaded font.
  2. It’s important to note that deleting a font only removes that font from the lists in PrintNow.  if you have products, projects or orders using that particular font they will be used unless they are resaved with a different default font.
